OUR STORY
A Very Special Dog Started It All
The Japanese Akita is a very special dog. I loved their loyalty, strength and intelligence. I have been involved with this magnificent breed for over 30 years, responsible for producing over 100 A.K.C. champions and sold my pups world-wide.
In 1980 I opened the first of 3 locations. The International Kennel Club was the premier pet emporium of its kind. The company is an upstate kennel-concept based specialty retailer of championship caliber dogs & cats, premium pet foods & supplies, & pet related services (grooming and obedience training).
The company had four retail outlets located on the upper east, west sides of Manhattan, N.Y.C. & New Jersey. I.K.C. had positioned itself into the upscale segment of the pet industry marketplace whose clients include UN diplomats, Hollywood celebrities, Sports Figures & the Rich & Famous world-wide.
